Monty is very serious indeed.

So I'm on my way to London (woo hoo!) for a couple of days - apologies ahead of time if posting is a bit slow. You'll be in good hands with the rest of the Feministing crew until I haul my ass back to New York. In the meantime, consider this an open pet thread. Talk your dogs/cats/fish, etc up in comments. See who has the cutest one.

This weekend was super fun for Monty. Not only did he have quality cuddling time with me and the cat, he also had visitors. My friend Sara and her dog Sushi came over to hang out and to install my awesome new prints. So great weekend overall. How was yours?

Monty had a grand old time running around in Woodstock this weekend, playing with his brother. A big part of this playing was digging - nose first - in the mud. Though as you can see, he looks pretty pleased with himself.

The downside, of course, is that the boyfriend and I have found five ticks on him (not attached, just crawling). He's had a bath and brushing since we got back, but if anyone has any tick-advice, it would be much appreciated.

Monty is very annoyed with me, as I'm pretty much immobile on the couch with a pulled-out back. Luckily, the boyfriend has decided to stay home from work and take care of me - so Monty has a playmate after all.

Since my laptop is in the shop (terrifying, truly), I don't have access to my pictures. So please enjoy this blast from the Monty past.

I was traveling all last week, so here's a pic from a couple of weeks ago when Monty went to go visit his brother in Woodstock. Even when separated by a glass sliding door, they like to chill together.

Poor Monty. He had such a good time this weekend in Woodstock running around and digging in the muddy snow, just to get all sick before he came home. Puppy gas=Ohmygodthatstinks.
